Pattern and color are two elements that holds deep significance for me. I’ve always been drawn to colors and patterns in my art, often prioritizing them over composition. Life itself has patterns, and each day our emotions paint it with a unique hue. While some see composition as the confining structure of existence, to me, it’s often at odds with the inherent patterns of life. When pattern confronts composition, the former prevails in my world. This is because patterns stem from our deepest unconscious desires, while composition represents the structured constraints we’re expected to follow. My pursuit of freedom is best expressed through patterns and colors. The true challenge lies in determining the victor among pattern, color, and composition.
